References checked — Independent referencing company verifies credit history, identity, right to work in the UK, and landlord references if applicable.

Move-in monies and agreement signed — First month's rent and security deposit received, tenancy agreement signed by all parties, deposit protected in government scheme.

Move-in date — Inventory check-in conducted, meter readings taken, keys handed over and photographed, inventory locked down within 14 days.
